A report shows one chart or metric, such as deals won over time. Build one from scratch, or start from a built-in report and save your changes as your own. To put several reports on one page, see Group Reports into a Report View.
Start from a Built-In Report
Pipeline CRM includes these reports, ready to use or customize:
- Deals Won
- Win Ratio
- Won Deals by Source
- Lost Deals by Loss Reason
- Deals by Stage
- Deals by Owners
- New Companies
- New People
To reuse one, open it, make your changes, then save it as a new report.
Create a Report
- Go to Reports.
- Select the Reports tab.
- Click Create new report in the top-right corner.
Choose Your Report Settings
Set up the report in the panel on the left. The chart updates as you go.
Setting
What it does
Report on
The records to report on: Deals, Companies, People, Agenda, Projects, or Calls.
Chart type
Line, bar, horizontal bar, or pie. Bar charts can be stacked.
Columns data source (Vertical Y-axis)
What you measure, summarized as a Count, Sum, or Avg value
Ratio of filter groups
Compares your filter groups as a ratio. See Compare Groups with Filter Groups.
Rows data source (Horizontal X-axis)
How the results are grouped, such as by owner or by date added
Date range
The time period to include, such as the last 30 days, this quarter, or a custom range
Date grouping
Whether dates group by days, weeks, months, or years
Breakdown group by
Adds a second layer of grouping for deeper comparisons
What you can measure depends on the records you report on:
- Deals: deal amount, deal count, and numeric, currency, or calculated custom fields
- Companies: company count, and numeric, currency, or calculated custom fields
- People: people count, and numeric or currency custom fields
- Agenda: task count only. See Report on Your Team's Tasks with Agenda Reports.
You can group results by:
- A date: Added, Updated, Closed, or Expected to close
- Owner, Source, Status, Stage, Pipeline, Loss Reason, or Revenue type
- Some custom field types: picklist, checkbox, boolean, multiple association, and single association
Deal reports in more than one currency are converted to a single currency. See Track Deals in Multiple Currencies.
Add a Forecast to a Deals Report
Forecast adds a second "Forecasted" line or bar to a Deals report. For each period on the chart, it shows the deals whose Expected Close Date falls in that period, measured the same way as the rest of the report (total value, number of deals, or average value).
Forecast is available on Deals reports that group by a date along the bottom and measure value, count, or average value.
- It uses each deal's full value, not a value weighted by probability. For the weighted version, see How Pipeline CRM Calculates the Weighted Forecast.
The forecast uses the report's date range but not its other filters. It can include deals that your main bars filter out.
Filter a Report
Report filters use your saved list views. Pick a saved list, and the report applies the same filters as that list.
- Open the report.
- Click Filters in the top-right corner.
- Click Select and choose the saved list view to use.
- Click Apply Filters.
Filter changes last only for your current session. Save the report to keep them.
To create or change a saved list, see Customize Columns, Filters, and Sorting in a List View.
Compare Groups with Filter Groups
Add more than one filter to compare groups side by side, such as two teams or two lead sources. Each filter becomes its own group on the chart. Check Ratio of filter groups to show the groups as a ratio instead.
Manage a Report
Open the three-dot menu in the top-right corner to:
- Add the report to a report view
- Add it to a dashboard
- Download it as a PDF or PNG
- Duplicate, rename, or delete it
To share a report with your team or transfer it to someone else, see Share List Views, Dashboards, and Reports.
