Multi-currency lets your team price deals in the currencies you sell in, while dashboards and reports still convert totals to one currency.
Before you start:
- Multi-currency is available on the Grow plan and higher.
- Setting up currencies for the account requires admin access.
How Currencies Work
Currency
What it's used for
Account Currency
The account's default. Used for reporting, for imported deals with no currency, and for new users until they pick their own. It's always an active currency.
Active Currencies
The currencies your team can use for deal amounts and as their own display currency
User Currency
Each user's display currency. Deal totals and report totals show in it when that user is signed in.
Set Up Currencies for Your Account
- Go to Settings > General > Currencies.
- Set your Account Currency.
- Add or remove Active Currencies.
Choose Your Own Display Currency
- Go to My Profile.
- In the General tab select Regional & Format.
- Scroll to My main currency and choose a currency.
Set a Deal's Currency
- On a new deal: The amount starts in your User Currency. Choose a different one from the currency dropdown on the new deal form.
- On an existing deal: Open the deal, click the Edit Deal icon next to Actions in the top-right corner, then use the currency dropdown next to Amount.
Update Currencies from the Deals List
- Go to your Deals list view.
- Click the Columns icon.
- Add the Currency column.
- Use the Currency column to filter deals by currency or change the currency on individual deals.
Import Deals in Multiple Currencies
- Add a Currency column to your import file.
- Enter a 3-letter ISO currency code for each deal, such as MXN for Mexican peso.
- Check that every code matches one of your Active Currencies.
If your file has no Currency column, the deals import in your Account Currency. For the rest of the import steps, see Import Your CSV or Excel File.
How Totals and Reports Convert
Pipeline CRM converts deal values to a single currency for:
- Dashboard tab totals
- Filtered totals
- The Sales Pipeline total
- Deal reports
Conversion rates come from Open Exchange Rates and refresh about every 30 minutes.
Won deals convert at the latest rate, not the rate on the day they closed, so past revenue totals can shift as rates change. To keep the value at close, store it in a deal custom field when the deal is won.
Troubleshoot Currencies
I don't see the currency I need. Check that it's added under Active Currencies in Settings > General > Currencies. If it's not in the list at all, contact support and tell us which currency you need.
Imported deals came in with the wrong currency. Check that your file has a Currency column with valid ISO codes, and that each currency is an Active Currency.
