    Sync Your Email

    Sync your Gmail or Microsoft email account so your emails are logged automatically on the people already in Pipeline CRM.

    Syncing your email lets you:

    • Log email automatically: synced emails are filed on the matching people, with no manual filing.
    • Track opens and clicks: see when someone opens your email or clicks a link.
    • Work from one place: read, send, and manage your synced email from the Email tab.
    • Reach more people at once: send bulk emails and email campaigns on Grow and Enterprise plans.

    Before you start

    • The email address you sync must match the one you use to sign in to Pipeline CRM. Email aliases aren't supported.
    • You need a Gmail account or a Microsoft-hosted account (Exchange Online, Office 365, or Outlook.com). Self-hosted and on-premises Exchange servers aren't supported.

    Sync your email

    1. Go to Tools > Email.
    2. Open the My Inbox tab.
    3. Click Sync my email.
    4. Select Google (Gmail) or Microsoft Exchange.
    5. Sign in to your email account.
    6. Approve the connection so Pipeline CRM can access your email.

    Pipeline CRM imports your emails from the past 60 days and logs each one on the matching person. The first sync can take a few minutes. Once it finishes, you can read and reply to your synced email from your inbox. See Read and Send Email from Your Inbox.

    What gets synced

    • Emails are logged on existing people whose email address appears in the To or CC field.
    • Email sync doesn't create new people. If an address doesn't match anyone in Pipeline CRM, the email isn't logged.

    To add someone new while you email them, BCC cc@app.pipelinecrm.com. Pipeline CRM creates the person and logs the email on their record. See Log Emails and People by BCC or Forwarding.

    Switch providers or fix a disconnection

    If your organization moves between Google Workspace and Microsoft 365, disconnect your email in Tools > Email and reconnect with the new provider. For the full steps, and for fixing an account that keeps disconnecting, see Fix Email Disconnections.
