Describe what you want in plain language, and Copilot sets up your account, builds reports, and updates your records for you.
Before you start:
- Copilot works in the Pipeline CRM web app only. It isn't available in the mobile app.
- Copilot is on for every user except read-only and Supershare users. Your admin can turn it off for individual users.
What You Can Ask Copilot
Copilot knows your account — your stages, fields, automations, and reports — and works only within the permissions you already have.
- Set up your account: "Set up my pipeline, stages, and fields for a construction business."
- Get answers: "Show won revenue by lead source for Q2, grouped by month."
- Update your records: "Create a deal for Acme at $12,000 in Proposal stage, closing July 15, and assign it to me."
- Automate your process: "When a deal moves to Won, notify me and start the onboarding task template."
You can also describe a whole end state in one paragraph, and Copilot works through the steps itself. For the full list, see What AI Copilot Can and Can't Do.
Ask Copilot
- Click the Copilot icon in the top-right corner.
- Type your request.
- Send it. Progress chips appear while Copilot works, then the full reply appears at once.
- Review the result in the chat.
To stop a request while Copilot is working, click the stop button. Copilot tells you which actions already finished — those stay in place.
Get Better Results
- Tell it about your business. Copilot knows how Pipeline CRM works, but not your priorities or how your team sells. The more context you give, the better it builds.
- Point to what you're looking at. Copilot knows which page and record you're viewing, so "add a note here" or "update this deal" works.
- Start a new chat for each new task. Long chats get summarized, and Copilot may lose track of earlier details. Click the new chat button to start fresh.
- Keep big requests focused. Copilot takes up to about 25 steps per request, and each request has a time limit of about a minute.
- Write in English. Copilot works best in English. Other languages may work, with less reliable results.
Have a person review any change to your setup — a new field, lead source, or reworked stage — before you rely on it. A setup change can affect other parts of Pipeline CRM in ways that aren't obvious, and like any AI, Copilot can make mistakes.
To choose whether Copilot makes changes right away or checks with you first, see Control How AI Copilot Makes Changes.
