How Email Sync Works
Pipeline CRM supports syncing for Google (Gmail) and cloud-based Microsoft Exchange email clients. Security practices differ slightly based on email provider:
For Google Gmail Users
- No Raw Email Storage: Pipeline never stores raw email messages from Gmail on our servers.
- Reflection Only: What you see in Pipeline is a direct reflection of your live Gmail inbox.
- Activity Storage: If you create activities (like notes or deals) from emails within Pipeline, those records are securely stored—just like any other CRM data.
- Account Data Deletion: All your Pipeline CRM account data is deleted 180 days after you cancel your subscription.
- Initial Full Inbox Sync: Pipeline pulls your complete inbox once during the initial sync.
- Email Copy Storage: Emails are stored on secure servers outside your email provider, regardless of whether you create a related activity in Pipeline.
- Quick Deletion on Disconnect:
- If you disable email sync or cancel your account, all email copies stored by Pipeline are deleted within 30 days.
- Your original emails remain safely on your primary provider’s servers.
What Happens If You Disconnect?
- Email Activities Stay: Disconnecting your email sync keeps all previously created email activities (like logged emails or notes) inside Pipeline.
- Live Email Sync Stops: No new emails will be pulled or displayed in Pipeline after disconnection.
Your Data, Always Under Your Control
- You can delete your data anytime.
- Routine and automated data deletion after account cancellation.
