The ActiveCampaign integration lets you automatically sync contact data from Pipeline CRM to ActiveCampaign. This helps you create targeted email campaigns and automated workflows using your CRM dataβ€”no manual exports needed.

Before You Begin
Make sure you have:
  • Admin access to Pipeline CRM
  • An ActiveCampaign account with API access
  • Contact records in Pipeline CRM with email addresses
How to Set Up the Integration
Step 1: Install the Integration
  1. Go to Settings > Other > App Store
  2. Find ActiveCampaign and click Install

Step 2: Get Your ActiveCampaign API Credentials
  1. Log in to your ActiveCampaign account
  2. Click the Settings icon (gear icon, bottom left)
  3. Select Developer
  4. Copy your API URL and API Key

Step 3: Configure the Integration in Pipeline CRM
  1. In the Active Campaign Service tab, paste your API URL and API Key
  2. Click Save changes.

Step 4: Set Up Sync Criteria
In the Criteria tab, choose which contacts to sync by setting up criteria.
Example setup:
  • Set criteria to: Tag contains "VIP"
  • Any contact tagged with "VIP" will automatically sync to ActiveCampaign
⚠️ Important: Only contacts that are updated after you set up the integration will sync. Existing tagged contacts won't transfer until they're modified.

To sync existing contacts:
  1. Create a new person tag (e.g., "VIP")
  2. Filter your People list view
  3. Bulk update the tag for selected contacts.

Step 5: Enable the Integration
  1. Click Back to App Store
  2. Toggle the integration to Enabled
βœ… You're all set! The integration is now active.

How the Integration Works
What Gets Synced
Pipeline CRM automatically sends these contact fields to ActiveCampaign:
  • First name
  • Last name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
These appear as Fields in ActiveCampaign and can be used for segmentation and personalization.

Ongoing Sync
Once a contact is synced, any updates you make in Pipeline CRM will automatically reflect in ActiveCampaign. This keeps your data consistent across both platforms.

Using Your Synced Data in ActiveCampaign
Now that your contacts are in ActiveCampaign, you can:
  • Create automated campaigns – Set up email sequences based on CRM data
  • Segment your audience – Target specific groups using Pipeline CRM fields
  • Personalize messages – Use contact details to customize your emails
  • Track performance – Monitor campaign results in ActiveCampaign analytics
