Stop images from email signatures, like company logos, from saving to Files on your person and deal records, and clean up the ones already saved.
Why it happens
When email sync is on, or when you log emails manually (for example, by BCC or forwarding), Pipeline CRM saves email attachments as files. It also scans for images embedded in email signatures. Images 40KB or larger are treated as files and saved automatically. Smaller images are ignored.
Stop attachments from saving automatically
Before you start: You need admin access to change Email Settings.
- Go to Settings > Email > Email Settings.
- Turn off Automatically save email attachments as files.
This setting applies to all email attachments, not just signature images. With it off, no attachments are saved to Files automatically, but you can still upload files manually.
For the other options on this screen, see Control Email Tracking, Logging, and Attachments.
Clean up images already saved
- Open the person or deal record.
- Go to its Files section to see what was saved.
- Filter the list to find the signature images.
- Select the images and bulk delete them.
For more on managing files, see View and Manage Your Files.
