Task & Event Settings

    Easily manage and report on your sales activities by using tasks, events, and templates in Pipeline CRM.

    Types, To-do Templates, and Postpone & Duration settings can all be accessed by an admin of your account by:

    • Click on Settings located in the lower-left corner.
    • Select the Activities tab.

    Task & Event Types

    Classify and organize your tasks and events for accurate reporting and streamlined workflows.

    Common types include:

    • Call
    • Appointment
    • To-do
    • Product Demo
    • Promotional Event
    • Personal Time Off

    You can use default types or fully customize your list:

    • In the Activities tab within Account Settings, select Types.
    • Add new: Click the "+ Add Event Type" button.
    • To Edit: Use the pencil icon to rename or update a type.
    • Delete: Click the trash can icon to remove.
    • Reorder: Drag and drop using the six vertical dots.
    • The top-listed type becomes the default when you create a new task or event.

    Priorities

    Stay on top of what’s most important:

    • You may add, edit, and/or delete existing Priorities.
    • Assign a priority (such as High, Medium, or Low) to every task.
    • Use priorities to sort or filter your task list.
    • Change priority at any time by editing the task.

    To-do Templates

    Standardize your processes and save time by applying templates to deals, people, or companies.

    Managing Templates

    • Go to the To-do Templates tab.
    • Create: Click the "Add To-do Template" button.
    • Edit: Click the pencil icon.
    • Delete: Use the trash can icon.

    Templates appear alphabetically.

    Building a Template

    • Name: Give it something descriptive.
    • Default Option: Set as default to auto-apply to new records (only one default per type).
    • Template Type: Specify if it’s for deals, people, and/or companies.
    • Tasks: Add tasks, assign types, set priorities, define due days.
    • Day 0: Due the same day the template is applied.
    • Day 1: Due the next day, and so on.

    Postpone & Duration

    For tasks: Default postpone options:

    • 1 day
    • 7 days
    • 30 days
    • You can add or remove these periods as needed.
    • You can also allow users in your account to:
    • Skip weekends when postponing an item
    • Use the calendar to choose a specific date.

    Read more on customizing Postpone Periods here. For Events: When configuring recurring tasks, you can specify a default end date. By default, this is set to None.
