See what happens when someone unsubscribes from your emails, and how to mark or reverse an unsubscribe yourself.
How people unsubscribe
Every bulk email and email campaign email you send from Pipeline CRM includes an unsubscribe link. Pipeline CRM adds it automatically, and it can't be removed. When a recipient clicks it, their Unsubscribed field on their person record is set to Yes.
What happens after someone unsubscribes
Pipeline CRM leaves unsubscribed people out of all future bulk emails and email campaigns. You don't need to remove them from your lists or campaigns yourself.
Mark a person as unsubscribed
If someone asks to stop receiving your emails by phone, reply, or any other way, mark them as unsubscribed yourself.
- Open the person's profile.
- Click Edit Person.
- In the System Fields section, select the Unsubscribed checkbox.
- Save your changes.
Honor every unsubscribe request promptly, including requests that don't come through the unsubscribe link. See Meet CAN-SPAM Requirements in Pipeline CRM.
Resubscribe a person
You can reverse an unsubscribe from the People list view.
Only resubscribe someone who has asked to hear from you again.
- Go to People.
- Add the Unsubscribed field as a column in your list view. See Customize Columns, Filters, and Sorting in a List View.
- Find the person you want to resubscribe.
- Change their Unsubscribed value to No.
The person is included in bulk emails and email campaigns again from that point on.
