Add Latest Activity Columns to Your List Views

Latest Activity columns show the newest entry in each record's Activity Feed, right in your list view. Use them to see when you last touched base with someone and decide who needs attention next.

Before you start: Latest Activity columns are available on People and Deals list views. Companies don't have them.

    Add Latest Activity Columns

    1. Go to your People or Deals list view.
    2. Click the Columns icon at the top of the list.
    3. Check the Latest Activity columns you want to show.

What Counts as the Latest Activity

Anything that adds an entry to the record's Activity Feed counts:

    • Logged activities and notes
    • Synced emails
    • Completed tasks, including tasks you log as already done
    • Calls logged by a phone integration
    • System updates: deal stage changes, moving a deal to another pipeline, currency changes, and owner changes

    These don't count:

    • Private notes
    • Creating or editing a task that's still open
    • Field edits that don't add a feed entry, such as changing a deal's value, close date, or a custom field

System updates count as activity. A stage or owner change refreshes the Latest Activity date even if nobody contacted the person. Show Latest Activity Category to see what kind of activity it was.

Synced emails keep their original sent date. If an older email syncs late, it won't replace a newer activity as the latest one.

The columns update in the background, so a new activity can take a few seconds to show up.

Use Latest Activity to Plan Follow-Ups

    • Find people you haven't contacted lately: Filter Latest Activity Created to dates more than 30 days ago.
    • See how you last reached someone: Filter Latest Activity Category for a category like Email or Call.
    • Get context without opening the record: Show Latest Activity Description next to the name.
    • Find leads that need nurturing: Combine Status with Latest Activity Created.
    • Spot proposals that need a call: Combine Stage with Latest Activity Category.

For help with filters, see Customize Columns, Filters, and Sorting in a List View.

Save your filtered view and share it with your team so everyone works from the same follow-up list. See Share List Views, Dashboards, and Reports.
