Import and Export Your Data: Overview

Bring your existing data into Pipeline CRM, keep it up to date in bulk, and export it whenever you need it — no need to start from a blank account.

    What you can import

    • Companies, People, Deals, and Activities — one record type per import.
    • File types: CSV, XLS, XLSX, or vCard.

    What you can export

    • Companies, Deals, People, Activities, and Agenda (tasks and events).
    • Formats: CSV for any list, or PDF for lists of 100 records or fewer.

    How importing works

    1. Prepare your file — match your spreadsheet columns to Pipeline CRM's fields, either default fields or your own custom fields.
    2. Start the import — click the + icon in the top-right corner and select Import, then choose Companies, People, or Deals.
    3. Map your columns — tell Pipeline CRM which column belongs to which field.
    4. Review your results — the import runs in the background and Pipeline CRM emails you a confirmation when it finishes. That email lists any records that were skipped or failed, with a link to the details.
    5. Undo if needed — a new import can be deleted as a batch from Manage Imports.

Duplicates and errors are reported in your confirmation email after the import runs, not before. Review your file carefully before you upload it.

Tip: Import in this order — Companies → People → Deals. That way your people and deals can link to companies that already exist.

    Before you import, know this

    • Every person record needs an owner. It defaults to whoever runs the import unless your file includes an Owner column.
    • Companies are checked for duplicates by company name, People by work email, and Deals aren't checked at all — every deal row imports.
    • Updates made with Update Existing Records by Import cannot be undone. Only newly imported records can be rolled back.

    Moving from another CRM?

Export your data from Salesforce, HubSpot, Pipedrive, Zoho, or almost any other tool as a CSV, then follow the same import flow. See Migrate to Pipeline CRM from Another CRM for tool-by-tool export steps and a recommended order.
