Customize Profile Page Layouts

Profile pages have five layers you can customize. This article covers all five, and who controls each one.

    What you can customize

    Who controls it

Sections — which tiles appear on the page and in what order

Each user, for their own view

Edit Mode — whether profile fields are always ready to edit

Admins set the account default and decide whether users can change it

    Fields in the Details tile

Admins set the account default and decide whether users can personalize it

Columns in the Deals and People tables

Each user, unless an admin has locked the layout

Badges in the profile header — the key identifiers pinned to the top of the page

Admins, for everyone in the account

Before you start: Admin settings live at Settings > Profile Pages. Personalizing your own view needs no special permissions unless your admin has turned that off.

    Rearrange or Hide Sections

These changes affect only your own view. Other users won't see them.

    1. Open any record's profile page.
    2. In the top right, click Actions, then select Edit Layout.
    3. Click and drag the arrows to move a section to a new position.
    4. Click the eye icon next to any section you want to hide. A hidden label confirms it.
    5. Click Save.

These settings are saved per user, not account-wide.

Your dashboard works the same way: click the Edit Layout icon in its upper-right corner, then rearrange or hide sections using the steps above.

Set Whether Profiles Open in Edit Mode

Edit Mode controls how users interact with the fields on a profile page. With it on, inputs are always visible so field values can be updated on the spot. With it off, users switch into editing first.

    1. Go to Settings > Profile Pages > Edit Mode.
    2. Turn on Enable Edit Mode by default for all users so profiles open with inputs always visible for quick editing.
    3. Turn on Allow users to toggle Edit Mode so each user can set their own default instead of being held to yours.

Once Allow users to toggle Edit Mode is on, each user sets their own default from My Profile > Page Settings, using the Enable edit mode by default toggle. See Manage Your Profile Settings.

Choose Which Fields Appear in the Details Tile

The Details tile is the panel of field values at the top of a Deal, Person, or Company profile. Admins set what everyone starts with.

    1. Go to Settings > Profile Pages > Details Section.
    2. Turn on Allow users to change field order if you want each user to be able to rearrange fields in their own view.
    3. Choose a profile type: Deal, Person, or Company.
    4. Click the Columns icon to pick which fields appear.
    5. Click the eye icon to hide a field from the layout.
    6. Drag and drop to reorder fields.
    7. Click Save to apply the layout across all users.

If your admin allows it, you can then personalize your own Details tile from Actions > Edit Layout on any profile page. Those changes affect only your account.

Customize People and Deal Table Views

Users can choose which columns appear in the Deals and People tables on profile pages, and in what order.

Deal and People tiles with tables can only be found on Company and People profiles.

    1. Go to Settings > Profile Pages > Table Views.
    2. Choose a profile type: Company, Customer, or Person. Each one keeps its own configuration.
    3. Click the Columns icon on the People table or the Deals table to pick which fields appear.
    4. Drag columns into the order you want.
    5. Leave Allow users to customize table views on so each user can adjust your layout to suit their own work, or switch it off to fix your layout for everyone.
    6. Click Save changes.

Fields for Name and Key Contact on People, Deal Name Deals stay locked.

Pin Key Identifiers to the Header with Badges

Badges put the identifiers your team works from — job numbers, quote IDs, account codes, deal values — at the top of a Company, Person, or Deal profile, where they stay visible no matter how far you scroll. Click a badge to copy its value to your clipboard.

Badges replace the record ID that appears in the header by default. Teams that share identifiers across systems get the most out of them: job numbers for construction companies, account codes for distributors, deal values for sales teams.

    1. Go to Settings > Profile Pages > Badges.
    2. Choose a record type: Company, Person, or Deal. Each one keeps its own set of badges.
    3. Open the dropdown and select the fields you want to add as badges.
    4. Click Save changes.

You can add up to 3 badges per record type. Only numeric, currency, calculated, date, and dropdown fields can be used as badges.
