Move a deal through your pipeline from the deal profile, a list view, or the Kanban board — one deal at a time or in bulk.
Before you start: Your stages are created and ordered by an admin. See Deal Stages to add, rename, or reorder them.
Change the Stage on One Deal
- From the deal profile: On the stage card at the top of the page, click Edit Current stage, choose the stage you want, and click Save. Cancel leaves the deal where it is.
- From a list view: Click the Stage field in the deal's row and select the new stage.
- On the Kanban board: Drag the deal card into the stage column you want. See Kanban Board for the rest of what the board can do.
Change the Stage on Several Deals at Once
- Go to Deals.
- Select the deals you want to move using the checkbox on each row.
- In the bulk actions bar, click More > Set pipeline/stage.
- Choose the pipeline and stage you want, then confirm.
Bulk changes can't be undone. Check your selection before you confirm.
Closing a Deal
Won and lost aren't separate settings — they're stages. Move the deal into your won or lost stage the same way you'd move it anywhere else.
Once you do, the Won or Lost badge on the stage card activates, the stage label changes to "Won at" or "Lost at" the stage the deal was in, and a line below confirms the date it was marked.
Moving a deal into a won or lost stage sets its Actual Close Date automatically. Only admins can change that date afterwards — see Who Can Edit a Deal's Actual Close Date?
To see when a deal moved between stages and who moved it, see Track Deal Stage Changes in Pipeline CRM.
