Before You Begin
- Permission Required: Only users with the Can merge records permission can merge deals. If you donโt see the merge option, contact your admin to enable it.
- Important: Merges are permanent and cannot be undone.
Steps to Merge Duplicate Deals
1. Choose the Primary Deal: Navigate to the deal profile with the most complete information. This will be the record you keep.
2. Start the Merge: On the chosen deal profile, click the Actions button, then select Merge.
3. Find the Duplicate: Search for the duplicate deal in the dropdown. Click its name to select it.
4. Review and Confirm
- The deal being removed appears on the left; the deal you keep is on the right.
- Double-check all details. Merging is foreverโthereโs no way to un-merge.
5. Complete the Merge
Click the Merge button at the bottom of the page. To cancel, click the X in the upper right or select Cancel.What Happens After Merging?
- All Activities, Tasks, Events, People, Company name, and Files from the duplicate are transferred to the primary deal.
- The merged record will have a complete history from both deals.
Troubleshooting & Tips
- Canโt find the merge option? Ensure you have the correct permissions.
- Accidentally merged the wrong deals? Unfortunately, merges cannot be undone. Double-check before confirming.
- Not sure which deal to keep? Always choose the record with the most complete and accurate data.
