Pipeline CRM’s AI Email Assistant can be upgraded for unrestricted access by integrating it with OpenAI’s services. Here’s a simplified guide to help you through the process: 

1. Create an OpenAI Account and Generate an API Key:

  • Access Pipeline CRM: Log in and go to Account Settings > App Store.
  • Configure AI Assistant: Find the “AI Assistant” integration and click “Configure.”
  • Enter API Key: In the OpenAI integration section, paste the API key you generated earlier.
  • Test and Save: Click “Test Connection” to ensure it’s working, then hit “Save.”
Understanding ChatGPT Billing:
OpenAI’s ChatGPT operates on a pay-as-you-go model, charging based on the number of tokens processed (both input and output). As of October 26, 2023, the rates for the GPT-3.5 Turbo model are:

  • Input Tokens: $0.0015 per 1,000 tokens
  • Output Tokens: $0.002 per 1,000 tokens
Note: A token roughly equates to a word or a few characters.

Example Cost Calculation:
  • Input Prompt: “Write an email to say hello. Use a formal tone. Be concise.” (16 tokens)
  • AI Response: A formal greeting email (approximately 70 tokens)
  • Total Cost: For 86 tokens, the cost would be approximately $0.000164.
