How to Create a New Template
Option 1If youâve just written an email youâll want to use again, donât hit send yetâclick Save as template.

To create one from scratch, go to the Templates tab and click + Add new in the upper right corner.
Personalize with Merge Tags
Make your emails feel personal by adding Merge Tags. These allow you to drop in details such as the recipientâs first name, last name, email address, or company name. Want your signature to show up automatically? Use the Signature merge tag.If a recipient doesnât have a value for a merge tag, you can set a fallback value. Just add your default text after â

You can keep templates Personal (just for you) or mark them as Shared so your whole team can use them. Testing Your Email Template
Want to make sure your email looks just right before it lands in someone elseâs inbox? Here are two easy ways to preview your draft:
- Send the email to yourself for a firsthand look.
- Instead of clicking âSend Now,â select âSend me a test emailâ to see exactly how it will appear to your recipients.
