Email Throttling

Updated 1 week ago

There is a sending limit when sending emails through Pipeline CRM to ensure optimal performance and compliance with email providers’ rate limits.

Sending Rate Limit

  • Maximum of 20 Emails per Minute per User: Pipeline CRM allows users to send up to 20 emails per minute.

What Happens After Reaching the Limit?

If you reach the 20-email limit within a minute:
  1. Sending Pauses: The system temporarily halts sending additional emails.
  2. Queueing: Once the minute passes, the next batch of up to 20 emails is queued for sending.
This throttling mechanism helps prevent exceeding the rate limits set by email providers.

Other Activities Affecting Rate Limits

It’s important to note that all operations on your email account contribute to your provider’s rate limits, not just sending emails. These activities include:
  • Filing email activities
  • Inbox synchronization
  • Responding to email changes
Therefore, high activity levels, such as frequent syncing or filing, can impact your ability to send emails, even if you’re not sending many messages.
