Person Tags

Person Tags are handy labels you can use to organize and categorize your contacts in Pipeline CRM. Whether you want to track industry, conference attendance, hobbies, or any other attribute, tags give you the flexibility to group people in ways that make sense for your workflow. There’s no limit to the number of tags you can assign to a person, so get creative!

Why Use Person Tags?

  • Easily filter and find contacts based on shared attributes.
  • Customize your CRM experience to fit your business needs.
  • Streamline communication with targeted groups.

Managing Person Tags

Admins in your account can add, edit, and delete tabs by navigating to:
  1. Settings in the lower-left corner.
  2. In the Other tab, select Tags.
    1. Click the + New person tag button to create a new tag.
    2. Click the trash icon to remove a tag.
    3. Click the pencil icon to modify an existing tag.


How to Add Tags to a Person

You have several ways to tag your contacts:

1. Individually using  List Views
Quickly add tags directly from any contact list view:
  • Locate the contact in your list.
  • Click the tag field.
  • Type to search for an existing tag, or create a new one(if you are an admin).
  • Select the tag to apply it.

2. As a Bulk Action using List Views
Need to tag multiple contacts at once? Here’s how:
  1. Select the contacts you want to tag from the list.
  2. Click the + Add Tags option.
  3. Select the tag.

3. From the Profile View
To add or edit tags for a specific person:
  • Open the person’s profile.
  • Find the Tags section.
  • Add, remove, or edit tags as needed.

4. From the Add/Edit Form
When creating or editing a contact, if made available by your admin, you can add Tags when using the forms!
