Keep your CRM data clean and ensure your emails reach the right people with our Email Validation add-on. This guide will help you understand what the feature does, how to enable it, and how to make the most of it.

What Is the Email Validation Add-on?

Email Validation is an optional add-on designed to verify email addresses entered into Pipeline CRM. It helps you:
  • Maintain accurate email data.
  • Reduce bounce rates.
  • Support effective communication by ensuring emails are valid.
Note: Add-ons are separate from your main subscription. They follow the same billing cycle (monthly or annual) as your base plan.

Key Features

  • Validation Modes:
    • Hard Reject: Blocks invalid emails from being saved.
    • Soft Reject: Warns about invalid emails, but allows them to be saved.
  • Quota: Set number of validations each month, depending on your billing cycle.
  • Real-Time Validation: Emails are verified as you enter or update them in the system.

How to Enable the Add-on

  1. Go to Billing in your account settings.
  2. Click on Update Subscription.
  3. Select your desired plan.
  4. Continue to Add-ons
  5. Select the Email Validation box.
  6. Enter your payment details.

Configuration Steps

  1. Navigate to Settings > Select the Email tab > Email Validation.
  2. Select your preferred mode:
    • Hard Reject: Prevents saving invalid emails.
    • Soft Reject: Allows saving, but issues a warning for invalid entries.

Using Email Validation

  • Adding or Updating Emails:
    • In Hard Reject mode: Invalid emails are blocked and you’ll see an error.
    • In Soft Reject mode: You’ll receive a warning but can still save the entry.
    • Valid emails are always saved without issue.
  • Editing Existing Records:
    • The same validation rules apply when you update email fields.

Billing & Quota Management

  • The add-on is billed with your base plan (same cycle).
  • Track your monthly usage within Email Validation settings.
  • If quota is exceeded, emails can still be added, but validation will not occur until your quota renews.

Additional Details

  • Where It Works: All system email fields, including person and company records.
  • Limitations: Validation does not apply to data imports.
