What is the Kanban Board?

Kanban Board is a visual management tool that helps you see and organize your deals across different sales pipeline stages. It uses a card-based layout where each card represents a deal, allowing teams to visualize workflow and identify bottlenecks.

Getting Started with Kanban View

1. Accessing the Kanban Board:
- Go to the Deals page within Pipeline CRM.
- You will find an option to switch between ListView and Kanban View. Click on Kanban to activate it. The current List view will be converted to the Kanban board.

2. Understanding the Kanban Board:
- The Kanban board displays deals as cards arranged in vertical columns. Each column represents a stage in your sales pipeline.
- Stages are arranged in order of progression from left to right, encouraging the movement of cards from initial contact to the final stages of your sales process.

Managing Deals with Kanban View

1. Moving Deals Between Stages:
- To move a deal, simply drag the card from its current column to the desired stage column.
- This action reflects progression or updates in the deal's lifecycle.

2. Editing Deal Information:
- When you hover on a card, click on the pencil icon on a card to edit details.
- You can also click on the deal title to go to the deal profile page for more in-depth editing.

3. Configuring Cards Display:
- Edit what information appears on each card by selecting "Edit Display Fields" and choosing from available system or custom fields.

You can customize the information displayed on each card. For instance, select 'Actual Close' from the edit display fields to start displaying it on Kanban cards. Please note that not all fields are available to select in the Kanban view.

4. Bulk Updates, Activities, and Tasks:
- Use the checkbox on each card to select multiple deals and apply bulk updates (bottom left). The Bulk Operations menu will appear at the top of the stages.
- You can also create tasks for specific deals by clicking the Create Tasks icon (bottom right) directly from the Kanban board.
- Activity for the deal can be view or created by clicking on the activity icon next to the create task icon.

5. Saving the Kanban board:
- Once you have configured the board, you can save it as a Kanban Board by clicking on "Save Kanban".

All the saved boards are available under the Dropdown on the top left.

You can access board options to rename, duplicate, or delete any saved Kanban board.

Advanced Features

1. Filtering and Sorting:
- Apply filters to view deals by specific criteria, like minimum deal value. You can also import any saved List View filters by clicking on Import

- Sort deals within the Kanban board by different criteria, such as by Deal amount. Sorting will apply for each column stage. The default sorting is in descending order of deal updated date-time

2. Pagination and Load More:
- Like List Views, you can load more records on demand to see more deals. Clicking on this icon will load additional deal cards for each stage. The total cards in each stage are available next to the stage name.

Each stage displays the number of cards next to it.

3. Change Pipeline
- At a time only one Pipeline can be viewed on the Kanban board. You can switch between Pipelines using this icon. As a default, the Kanban board displays the default pipeline.

4. Collapsing stages
- The deal stages can be minimized, to enable a better view of the Kanban board. Click anywhere on the deal stage name to collapse the deal stage. Click again on the deal stage name to expand a collapsed stage.

You can still drag and drop any deal to a collapse deal stage.

Conclusion

Kanban View is a powerful tool within Pipeline CRM that enhances the visibility and management of your sales pipeline. Following the steps outlined above, you can effectively utilize this feature to improve your team's productivity and workflow management.
