Use QuickFill Templates to Auto-Populate Fields

A QuickFill template fills in a set of fields on a company, person or deal in one click — for example, setting State, Country, Region and Industry for every new California account.

Before you start: Account Admin permissions are required to create and manage templates. Any user can apply one.

    Create a Template

    1. Go to Settings > Data Entry > QuickFills.
    2. Select the record type: Company, Person or Deal.
    3. Click \+ Create new template.
    4. Enter a name, such as "California Accounts".
    5. Add each field you want to fill in and enter its value — for example, State: California, Country: US.
    6. Click Save and Activate Template.

There's no limit on how many templates you create or how many fields each one fills.

    Apply a Template

Apply a template from whichever place you're working:

    • When adding a record: Click the + icon in the top-right corner, select Company, Person or Deal, click QuickFill, and choose your template.
    • On an existing record: Open its profile page, click QuickFill at the top of the page, and choose your template.

Only the fields in the template change. Every other field keeps its current value.

Each QuickFill is logged as a system update in the record's activity history, so you can see what changed and when.

    Undo a QuickFill

Right after you apply a template, an undo prompt appears in the lower-left corner. Click it to put the fields back to their previous values. The undo is logged in the activity history too.

Edit, Turn Off, or Delete a Template

    1. Go to Settings > Data Entry > QuickFills.
    2. Find the template.
    3. Use the toggle to turn it on or off, or click the three-dot menu to edit or delete it.
