Send SMS from Pipeline CRM

Text people straight from their record using your business phone number. Every message you send and receive is logged on the person's activity feed.

Before you start:

• Your account needs one of these phone integrations connected, with SMS turned on: JustCall, Dialpad, or Kixie.
• Your phone number must be set up in that dialer account.

The SMS feature is free to use in Pipeline CRM. Your dialer provider may charge its own messaging fees.

Set up SMS

An admin connects the dialer and turns on SMS once. Then each user adds their number.

1. Admin: Connect your dialer and turn on Enable SMS Support in its SMS Settings tab. Each dialer's guide covers this step.
2. Every user: Click your profile icon in the top right and select My Profile.
3. On the General tab, enter your dialer phone number in Work number.
4. Click Save changes.

You can only have one SMS integration turned on at a time.

Send a text message

1. Open the person's record.
2. In the Contact Info tile, click the SMS icon.
3. Type your message in the messenger window.
4. Click the Send icon.

The messenger window shows delivery status and timestamps. Replies appear in the same window.

If the person has both a work and a mobile number, turn on Show settings in the messenger window to choose which number gets the text.

You can text one person at a time. Bulk SMS isn't available.

See your text conversations

Every text appears in the person's Activity Feed, alongside calls, emails, and notes. Each entry shows:

• The message
• When it was sent or received
• Whether it was sent or received
• The dialer number it used

Choose how you're notified about new texts

1. Click your profile icon in the top right and select My Profile.
2. Select the Notifications tab.
3. Under General, find SMS received.
4. Tick the channels you want: in-app, email, or mobile.
