Performance Lanes let you categorize deal revenue so you can see where your income comes from and which strategies drive growth. You'll also see this feature called Revenue Types — they're the same thing.
Note: In Account Settings the feature is labelled Performance Lanes. On a deal record, the field is called Revenue Type.
Before you start: Performance Lanes only work on deals attached to companies that have been converted to customers. If a company isn't a customer yet, the field won't be available on its deals. See Understanding and Creating Customers.
What Performance Lanes Do
Performance Lanes are customizable categories you assign to deals to clarify the nature of the revenue. They're most useful when you sell multiple products, services, or deal structures.
- Accurate reporting — break revenue down by category for cleaner analytics.
- Strategic insight — see which kinds of deals actually drive growth.
- Tailored pipelines — align your sales process with your business model.
