Multiple pipelines let you run separate processes side by side — say, new sales in one pipeline and onboarding in another — each with its own stages. Every deal belongs to exactly one pipeline.
Before you start: The number of pipelines you can have depends on your plan — see pipelinecrm.com/pricing. Creating and editing pipelines needs Account Admin permissions.
Put a Deal in a Pipeline
New deals go into your default pipeline unless you choose another. To pick or change a deal's pipeline:
- When creating a deal: Choose a pipeline in the Pipeline field.
- On an existing deal: Open the deal and edit the Pipeline field in the Deal Details tile.
- From the Deals list view: Click the deal's Stage cell and choose a stage from another pipeline.
Move or Copy Deals to Another Pipeline
- In the Deals list view, check the box next to each deal.
- In the bulk actions bar at the bottom of the screen, choose Set pipeline/stage.
- Pick the new pipeline and stage.
- Choose Move or Copy.
Option
What happens
Use it when
Copy
The original deal stays where it is, and a new deal is created in the chosen pipeline.
A deal is finished in one process and continues in another — for example, a won sale moving into onboarding. The original keeps its credit in your sales reports.
Move
The deal leaves its original pipeline and lives only in the new one.
A deal was in the wrong pipeline, or you're reassigning it completely.
Moving a won deal out of your sales pipeline takes it out of that pipeline's reports. If you want to keep credit for the sale, copy it instead.
Set Up Pipelines and Stages
Go to Settings > Deals > Pipelines & Stages to add pipelines, rename them, and set their stages and probabilities. To make a pipeline the default, click its edit icon and turn on Default. For the full walkthrough, see Deal Stages.
- Stage names must be unique across all pipelines. That's how imports and reports know which pipeline a stage belongs to.
- Deleting a pipeline: A window asks you to choose the pipeline and stage its deals should move to, so no deal is left without a pipeline.
See Your Pipelines Across Pipeline CRM
- Dashboard: Shows each stage with its key numbers. Switch between pipelines, filter by user or team, or click a stage to open those deals in a list view.
- Deals and Agenda list views: Filter by pipeline or stage, and add the Pipeline column to see where each deal sits.
- All Active Deals: The total at the top of the Deals list view combines open deals across every pipeline. Click it to see the total for each pipeline.
- Imports: Put a stage name in your file's Stage column and the deal lands in that stage's pipeline. Deals with no stage go to the default pipeline.
