Your pipeline view shows two deal totals. They count different things, so they often disagree — here is what each one is adding up.
All Active Deals
The total value of every deal currently in an active stage, regardless of any filters you have applied.
A stage counts as active when its probability is set to anything other than 0% or 100%. That normally excludes won and lost deals — though if your account has customized those stages, check their probability. Archived deals are never included.
Filtered Total
The combined value of only the deals matching the filters currently applied to your view. With no filters applied, it can match All Active Deals exactly.
Why the Two Numbers Differ
Filter by owner, stage, or date range and Filtered Total narrows to those results, while All Active Deals keeps reporting your full active pipeline. The gap between them is the part of the pipeline your filter excluded.
How Won, Lost, and Archived Deals Are Counted
Archived deals are excluded from both totals.
Deals in a 0% or 100% stage — typically lost and won — are excluded from All Active Deals, but they will appear in Filtered Total if your filters include those stages. That is the most common reason Filtered Total comes out higher than All Active Deals.
To change which deals a total reflects, change the filters on the view — see Customize Columns, Filters, and Sorting in a List View. Stage probabilities are set in your account's deal stage settings.
