Highlight Rows with Custom Formatting

Set a rule that colors rows automatically based on what is in them, so the records that need attention stand out the moment you open the list.

Before you start: Row formatting works on saved lists only. You cannot add it to All Companies, All Deals, or All People — save your own list first. See Save, Find, and Set a Default List.

    Open Row Formatting

    1. Open your saved list.
    2. Click the three dots in the top right corner.
    3. Select Row Formatting.

Choose a Template or Build a Rule

    1. Pick a pre-built template, or choose to create your own rule.
    2. Name the rule and pick a color.

    Set the Conditions

    1. Choose the column the rule looks at.
    2. Select the operator — equals, contains, and so on.
    3. Enter the value that triggers the formatting.

For example, highlight every deal with no activity in the last 10 days.

    Save and Apply

Click Save. The list immediately highlights every row matching your rule.

Row formatting colors an entire row based on its data. To tint a single column regardless of its values, use the color palette icon in that column header instead — see Customize Columns, Filters, and Sorting in a List View.
