Link companies into a parent-child structure so you can see a whole corporate group — deals, people, and activity — from one profile.
The rules, up front:
- A structure can be three levels deep: parent, child, grandchild. No deeper.
- Each company can have only one parent.
- No loops — a company can't be its own ancestor or descendant.
- Access to a parent gives you access to all of its subsidiaries automatically. No extra permissions needed.
Set a parent company
- Open the child company's profile.
- In the company details, find the Parent company field and select the parent.
Or, from either profile:
- Click Actions in the top right corner.
- Select Add a Parent Company.
- Search for the company, or create a new one.
- Click Confirm.
Set a child company
- Open the parent company's profile.
- Click Actions and select Add a Child Company.
- Search for the company and link it.
What you see on a parent company
Children Total and Won Deals — all open deals across children and grandchildren, plus the total value of everything won from subsidiaries.
Deals — every deal belonging to the parent and its subsidiaries, filterable and paginated.
Activity Feed — activity from the parent and its subsidiaries together, with a filter to narrow to one company.
People — contacts across the entire family of companies.
Children Companies — every linked child and grandchild.
Click the three dots in the Children Companies section to see the hierarchy as a diagram.
