    Apollo.io

    Connect Apollo.io to fill in missing details on your people and companies with verified B2B data, and import new leads that match your search criteria.

    Before you start:

    • Admin permissions in Pipeline CRM
    • An Apollo.io account on a paid plan — free plans can't use enrichment or lead generation. You can upgrade in Apollo.io.

    Step 1: Connect Apollo.io (admin)

    1. Click Settings in the lower-left corner.
    2. Go to Other > App Store.
    3. Find Apollo.io and click Install.
    4. Select the Apollo Service tab.
    5. Click Connect.
    6. Follow the prompts to authorize the connection.
    7. Click Test Connection.
    8. Click Save changes.

    Step 2: Choose what to enrich (admin)

    1. Select the Enrich Settings tab.
    2. Choose which records to enrich: person fields, company fields, or both.
    3. Decide whether to turn on Override existing data.

    With Override existing data on, Apollo.io replaces values already stored in mapped fields. Leave it off to fill empty fields only.

    Step 3: Map Apollo.io fields to your fields (admin)

    1. Select the Person Field Mapping or Company Field Mapping tab.
    2. Review the default mappings and change any you need. To capture extra data, create custom fields first and map them here.
    3. Click Save changes.

    Step 4: Turn on the integration (admin)

    Turn on the Enable toggle in the top-right corner of the Apollo.io settings. You can also turn it on from the Apollo.io tile in the App Store.

    How enrichment works

    Apollo.io enriches a person using their work email.

    When you…

    Create a person with a work email

    The person is enriched

    Update a person without changing the work email

    Nothing

    Change a person's work email

    The person is enriched again

    Turning on the integration doesn't enrich your existing records. Only records created or updated afterward are enriched.

    Find and import leads

    Turn on lead generation (admin)

    1. In the Apollo.io settings, select the Lead Generation Settings tab.
    2. Turn on Lead generation importing.
    3. Choose a Lead Source so you can report on these leads later.
    4. Choose the users the new leads are assigned to.
    5. Click Save changes.

    Lead generation uses the same field mapping you set up in Step 3.

    Import leads

    1. Click the Add (+) icon.
    2. Select Find Leads.
    3. Set your search criteria using the Apollo.io filters.
    4. Choose how many leads to import.
    5. Click Import leads.

    Track progress on the status page. To review past imports, go to Manage Imports.

    Problem

    What to check

    Nothing is enriching

    The person needs a work email, and the integration must be turned on in the App Store.

    Data was replaced unexpectedly

    Override existing data is on in the Enrich Settings tab.

    Fields aren't filling in correctly

    Review your field mappings, especially for custom fields.
